The Awakened One is the priceless Awake field for all people to cultivate. This is a great form of merit because people have a chance to connect with Awake, with an Awake Teacher, Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien. Why is it a great form of merit? The act of offering to the Awakened One yields abundant merits...we have an opportunity to meet the Awakened One, and the Awakened One will open the mind for us to help us realize the capacity to Wake Up already within ourselves, and there will be a day when the Awakened One will help us to become one with the Awake Mind, to break free from the root of ignorance and greed. In this lifetime, to have the Awake field for us to cultivate is not easy.

 

For 18 years, after Awakened, Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien has been tirelessly opening the mind for people, awakening the Awake seed in the mind garden of each person, devotedly watering and helping people to nurture that seed until the day the Awake flower blossoms. Such devotion arises from the Infinite Wisdom and Boundless Compassion of the Awakened Teacher. For many years, the Awakened Teacher continuously shines the Awake light into everyone's mind, helping people realize the capacity to Wake Up within, understanding the source of suffering caused by ignorance, and right there illusions and holdings fall apart. It is the Wisdom-the Compassion-the Awake tools from Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien has helped many people, regardless of race, background, culture or religion, understand, believe, realize and become one with the Awake Mind. Many students not only touch but also enter deeply and fully into communion with the Awake Mind in themselves; therefore, the trust in Awake increases, the goal to Wake Up is stronger, and they vow to follow the Awakened Teacher to walk the Awake path to return and live with the Awake Mind within, completely breaking the cycle of birth and death.

 

With the great vow to bring the Awake spirit into life, to let everyone know that there is an Awake destination, and to give people a chance to make offerings to connect with the Awakened One, Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien established the "Thich Dieu Thien Awake Foundation” (Awake Field).
